Solstice Cardboard Boat Race Challenge
Sunday, June 18, 2017, 3-6pm
The Old Manse, 269 Monument Street, Concord, MA
Sponsored by the SuAsCo River Stewardship Council, The Umbrella Community Arts Center, and OARS

Celebrate Riverfest and test your STEAM skills! Can you make a boat out of cardboard and paddle it 25 yards?  Before it sinks?  Can you design your boat not only for maximum flotation and speed but also to blend in with the river habitat?  In an hour and a half?
Race Winner Categories: First to Cross the Finish Line in Boat, Most Creative Concord River Habitat Design, and Most Spectacular Sinking

 Bring your team, imaginations, and intrepid spirit, and we’ll provide the materials!

Summer Solstice Celebration
6:00-9:00pm
Bring a picnic and enjoy songs by Sawyer Lawson and his band. Then join Voices for the Earth in song on The Old North Bridge and cap off the evening with s'mores around a Solstice Fire.
