Natalie VanLandingham
Natalie is a visual artist, a dancer, and a lover of succulent gardens, vegan food, and organized spaces. Originally from south Georgia, Natalie has worked in Tallahassee, Boston, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles and Maui in many capacities including marketing specialist, dancer, instructor, choreographer and illustrator.
While attending Florida State University and earning degrees in Arts Administration, Music Therapy, and Dance, Natalie worked at South Georgia Ballet as the Scholarship Program Director and the Assistant Ballet Mistress. During college, she often performed with FSU's Artist-in-Residence at the time, Suzanne Farrell, as well as with Tallahassee Ballet, Atlanta Festival Ballet, and others. After school, Natalie moved to Boston where she worked as the Associate Program Director at BalletRox and also recieved numerous artist grants to choreograph and perform in a series of collaborative shows at the Lily Pad in Cambridge.
Natalie later lived in New York City and Washington D.C. working as a freelance marketing advisor and event coordinator for MOMA, The Hirshorn Muesum and Sculpture Garden, The Joffrey School, The National Portrait Museum and many others.
In 2010, Natalie moved back to Boston to work as the Managing Director at the Urban Nutcracker and Tony Williams Dance Center, Director of Boston Urban Ballet, then later as The Director of Marketing and Community Engagement at Company One Theatre.
As an advocate for design-based marketing and visual strategies, Natalie is now excited to be surrounding by arts of all kinds at The Umbrella.
