Nancy Lippe, a Colorado native, is passionate about the outdoors, creativity, and engaging people in their communities. She recently moved to Concord after 18 years in Los Altos, California, where she worked as program officer for a local community foundation. There, she ran community outreach programs, focusing on conflict resolution, youth philanthropy, and college access/perseverance for first generation college students. She also co-founded a charter school focusing on differentiated instruction, performance and experiential learning.

She served on The Umbrella board prior to leading the Arts & Environment program for the past four years. She also currently teaches classes on philanthropy at Tufts University and UMass Lowell, serves on several local nonprofit boards, and is a facilitator with Communities for Restorative Justice. She received her BA in Human Biology from Stanford University and her doctorate in education from the Fielding Graduate University. She is a quilter, mother of four, avid reader, and occasional unicyclist.
