Lisa Blacher is a ceramic artist and art educator who loves to draw on clay. She has lived on the east coast and in the pacific northwest, and finds inspiration in big landscapes, urban environments, architecture, wilderness, odd animals, environmental issues and her garden. She enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for ceramics with her students, helping them find their best artistic selves and further develop their craft. She began working with clay as an undergraduate at the University of Vermont, and in 2006 received her MFA in Ceramics from the Rhode Island School of Design. She currently works out of her studio in the Gorse Mill in Needham, MA.
